Snowbreeze-2 is a unique cooling device the like of which has never been invented before. It harnesses the self-cooling energy of water in conjunction with ice. Based on the centuries old self-cooling ‘matka' (pitcher) principle, which sets in motion an automatic convection current in a water body, we have developed a mild people's. Sn0wBreeze is a Jailbreaking tool that has existed since the iOS 3 firmware generation and has continued to be maintained by its developer iH8Sn0w to this day. It can be used to Jailbreak the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and even Apple TV 2G, but is limited to iOS devices featuring an A4 chip. This means devices older than the iPhone 4S, iPad 2 or Apple TV 3G. These are instructions on how to perform an untethered jailbreak of your Apple TV 2 on iOS 5.2 using Sn0wBreeze for Windows. Step One Create a folder on your desktop called Pwnage. The latest version of sn0wbreeze, version 2.9.14, was recently released, and it brings with it support for the iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak for A4 devices. This latest version of sn0wbreeze also supports APTicket validation, in light of the recent issues with. 2.9.14: After Cydia's mishap with aptickets from 6.0 - 6.1.2 (causing soft-dfu loops), sn0wbreeze now includes an apticket validation.It will verify the apticket after browsing for iOS5+ blobs in iFaith mode. 2.9.14: Added tethered support for A4 devices on iOS 6.1.3 (3GS old bootroms are untethered as usual). 2.9.13: Ugh.More rootfs bug fixes.

As stated many times in the past, sn0wbreeze cannot be updated to work on A5(X)/A6(X) devices until a low level exploit in DFU or iBoot is found and made public.

A5(X)/A6(X) Baseband Preservation/Hacktivation?

For those running A5(X)/A6(X) devices and need to preserve your baseband, there is nothing you can do at the moment. For those wanting to hacktivate, the only advice I can give is to buy the carrier's SIM (the one its locked to obviously) on ebay. The SIM does not have to be activated with the carrier to activate the phone.

Sn0wbreeze is a tool which enables users to jailbreak their iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad or AppleTV as long as it is running iOS 5.x or 6.x. Newer versions may also support iOS 7 but not as of this article.

The problem assists in freeing you from the chains imposed by Apple and can provide you with the ability of adding additional functionality or cool features to your hardware.

Depending on the device you own and wish to run this tool on, you should always follow the advice of the developer so as to not bricking your phone/device or deactivate it.

Features and highlights

• iFaith Mode: Selecting this mode will allow you to create a custom IPSW containing previously saved SHSH blobs
• Simple Mode: This mode will begin creating a custom pre-Jailbreak IPSW without selecting any customization options

• Baseband Preservation Mode: This particular mode is only useful if you wish to upgrade your iPhone to the latest firmware version without updating your baseband. It will not Jailbreak your iPhone in the process
• General: The general section contains customization options such as enabling battery percentage, hacktivating the iPhone, installing SSH and setting your root partition size
• Unlocks: If your iPhone is running a baseband version that can be software unlocked then this section will be available. Very few baseband versions can be software unlocked, so it is unlikely this section will be available.
• Custom Boot Logos: When custom boot logos can be applied to your iOS device this section will be available. Custom boot logos will replace the default Apple logo that appears when your reboot your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad
• Custom Packages: This section will allow you to specify pre-installed Cydia packages that will automatically be installed on your iOS device. You can browse through a variety of repositories and even add external ones
• Build IPSW: Upon clicking the Build IPSW option your custom firmware file will begin being created
