Logic Express 9 Mac

If you are talking about Logic Express 9.1.8, it was the last version of Logic Express. Apple discontinued Logic Express 6 years ago in 2011 and replaced it with Logic Pro at the Apple Store. I could be wrong, but I don't believe any software company will continue to update software after it has been discontinued. Logic Express 9 packs a load of features into a mid-priced digital audio workstation application. As such it may be today's best musical bargain, albeit a sometimes challenging one. Dec 21, 2017 The latest version of Logic Express is 9.1 on Mac Informer. It is a perfect match for Automation in the System Tools category. The app is developed by Apple Inc. And its user rating is 5 out of 5. Logic Express 9 includes a “real” mixer with inserts and routing rather than the extremely hobbled channel volume and pan controls found in GarageBand. While GarageBand’s guitar amps are nice, the ability to mix and match amps and speaker cabinets (and choose from among three mic simulations to record their sound) is far better.

The latest version of Logic Pro 9 is v9.1.8 which does work for some people under Yosemite.....

If you have the app store version of LP9 then software updates will provide a means to update to that latest (and actually last) version


if you have the Logic Studio (DVD) version of LP9 then you will need to use the file provided in this link....



Express

If you find that LP9 9.1.8 does not fuction well for you on your system under Yosemite then there is little you can do except to either;

1) Roll back to a previous OS X + LP9 setup that works well, using your backups....

2) Purchase Logic Pro X..... via the app store.


Note: There is no means to update/upgrade LP9 to LPX as such.. You simply purchase the full version from the Mac App Store. The cost to do so is the same, or much less than it used to cost to upgrade from previous versions of Logic Pro to newer ones.... From LP8 to LP9... for example... used to cost $499 and then later $199
